  Outstanding performance throughout the year

The all-new Thermia Atlas premium ground source heat pump breaks the 6.0 SCOP barrier for the first time!

Thermia Atlas is a brand-new ground source heat pump with inverter technology that guarantees superior performance thanks to its unique technical features. With a ground-breaking seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP) of 6.15 (Atlas 18 at 35°C floor heating according to EN14825), Thermia Atlas enables you to reduce energy consumption by up to 80%.

Thermia Atlas is the world’s first ground source heat pump with a SCOP of over 6.0.

SCOP is a measure that describes how efficiently a heat pump works over a full year, including warm and cold periods. It indicates the relationship between the amount of energy produced and the amount consumed. The higher the value, the better the system.

The best of Scandinavian design with a premium touch

Atlas has a new color touchscreen display completely in glass, with a premium impression of quality. As well as enhancing the overall design, the new display also provides an improved viewing angle and sharper contrast. The controller in the Atlas heat pump boasts a color touchscreen display and user-friendly icons that are easy to understand.

Atlas will have the same silver-gray front and darker gray sides that have proved so popular on Calibra.
Just as with our earlier topline models such as Diplomat Optimum G3, the new Atlas also has the hood positioned on top of the heat pump. The hood improves the tidy appearance of the installation and allows some piping to be hidden.

Exceptional hot water production

With the HGW (Hot Gas Water) heater, Thermia has developed a unique patent-pending method for producing hot water. At the same time as water is being heated for distribution through the heating system, hot water is produced at very high temperature by an extra de-superheater. This means that during the part of the year when the house is heated, you get lots of hot water at a very low cost. Atlas heat pump equipped with HGW technology and a built-in 184-liter hot water tank can produce 545 liters of hot water (40°C), giving you the freedom for up to nine people to take showers at once.

More hot water, faster

The hot water tank features our TWS (Tap Water Stratification) technology, which means that hot water is produced faster and at higher temperatures than with traditional technology. Because of the increased temperature, the hot water is diluted before reaching the taps. This means that the available volume of usable hot water is considerably higher than in traditional boiler systems.

Market-leading sound levels

Innovative acoustic design has made Atlas the quietest heat pump on the market. With extra vibration dampers and sound absorbers, Atlas achieves superb quietness levels.

Operational sound levels for Atlas 12 vary from 30 dB(A) up to 42 dB(A), depending on compressor speed (according to EN12102 and EN ISO 3741). Atlas 12 is the quietest heat pumps on the market in its segment.

Advance control system

The controller coordinates and controls the heating system. Thermia heat pumps work with complete precision to give your home the best possible indoor climate at the lowest possible cost. User-friendly graphs and icons make Atlas controller very easy to use.

Atlas boasts more standard features from the factory than any other heat pump in the Thermia portfolio:

Color touchscreen and intuitive menu

Indoor temperature room sensor

Full overview of temperatures and curves

Two heating/cooling circuits

Smart Home – interface to BMS (Building Management System)

Smart Grid (EVU)

Energy source control

Buffer tank

Plug-and-play software update via USB slot

Thermia Altas can provide heating, cooling, heat a pool and work in combination with solar thermal panels or additional heat sources.

Inverter technology

By continuously adjusting output to current demand, inverter technology enables the heat pump to supply 100% of your energy requirements. This in turn means that there is no need to spend money on auxiliary heating.

Flexibility

The Atlas is available in two output sizes: Altas 12 (3-12kW) and Atlas 18 (4-18 kW). Atlas 12 is available in both three-phase (400V) and single-phase versions (230V), while Atlas 18 is available in three-phase (400V).

Atlas has built-in 180-liter hot water tank. The Atlas Duo version comes without an integrated hot water tank and is designed to work with a the MBH Atlas 200 or MBH Atlas 300, or any other hot water tank.

Heating

Most common European heating systems are water-based, with heat being distributed via radiators or hydronic floor heating. The output temperature of the water distribution system is usually 30-35°C for floor heating and 45-55°C for radiators. Thermia heat pumps offer a low-carbon alternative to traditional boilers in modern buildings, whether for new-builds or refurbishments and regardless of the temperature required in the heating system.

Thermia Online

The Thermia Online app enables you to check that your heating system is working properly, adjust the temperature when you are away from home, or receive a notification if anything unexpected comes up. Our online system provides installers with comprehensive diagnostics data and also enables them to respond promptly to notifications or access a live system performance feed. The Thermia Online app is available for both Android and iPhone.

Optimum technology

Optimum Technology is a technology that constantly monitors your system and adjusts the pump’s performance accordingly. Speed-controlled Class-A circulation pumps guarantee that daily operation is always adjusted according to the user’s requirements and conditions. That means you can be sure your heat pump is always running at its most efficient level.

Cool in the summer

The heat pump provides heat during the winter while the process can be simply reversed in the summer. When the weather is warm, the heat pump extracts heat from the house and deposits it into the borehole to provide cooling. That process is far more cost-efficient than traditional air conditioning. When equipped with the relevant optional accessory, Thermia Atlas can thus also provide efficient cooling for your home during the summer.

Pool heating

Atlas can easily heat your pool, all year round. That means you can enjoy your pool in all seasons while substantially reducing the cost of heating it.

The essence of Scandinavian design and durability

Thermia heat pumps are designed, tested and manufactured in one of the harshest climates in Europe. Swedish winters can be extreme. February is usually the coldest month, with temperatures dropping as low as -30°C or even lower in the north and heating is essential from September to May. Thermia Atlas is built on 40 years of experience in developing and supplying heat pumps. Today, it is the most advanced domestic ground-source heat pump in Thermia’s product portfolio.
